Planning for the Grand Tour

Well, the dining room table is a mess as it's covered with AAA Guide Books, a binder full of articles Jan's (aka Jacey) been saving for 30 years (organized by state), a big map with color coding by category, and the Reader's Digest book of America's Most Scenic By-Ways. Jan has also checked on-line for various factory tours that might be of interest: Hershey (of course!), Martin Guitar, Harley-Davidson, and SPAM! HA Clint has also purchased the niftiest toy possible: A Magellan GPS (we named her Maggie as she projects a feminine voice) with directions through all of America, including all the AAA Guide Book sights to see. Maggie is FABULOUS!

The "Cat-erwauling Camper" took to the road for the first time on April 28 for a shake-down cruise. The camper reminds Jan so much of boat living that she's referring to the bed as a "berth," the toilet is a "head," and the kitchen a "galley." Next thing you know, folks will need to ask "Permission to Come Aboard?"

We'll have to play Sequence when you arrive in Texas! In the meantime we'll watch your progress. Safe travels!
